Just got around to reading this post........Going to be thinking about this framework for a while, I think. Also, I would like to note that the 2025 "in" list for my home has included "will writing," so here's to finding some creative ways to think about what happens to all of the stuff and things after we're all gone

I'm deep in brainstorming will writing zone and so in awe that y'all are thinking about that in your home.

Very relatable in so many ways. I was such a Pippi Longstockings fan when I was a kid, but over time I’ve forgotten everything and did not remember the thing finder. Perfect.

Holy cats ! not sure where to start as I relate to so much of this, tho weirdly in my avid reading as a kid Pipi was one of the mainstays I some how missed , but did you read any of the Great Brain series? maybe that was my Pipi .

I am a born magpie , raised by magpie wolves , so my squirreling and dragging home of things is operatic in scale.

This spring an insane plumbing disaster flooded my house. ,I walked into a rainforest of flying water , the biggest downpour above the main record shelves . My insurance company is weaseling around , helping.

This has me at the helm of my soggy stash , an aunts house and a dad house , both ninja level THINGS people, all busting loose .

My body , what it can do , or not do has become unrecognizable , again forcing the THINGS card .

As a refugee on a friends couch as I try to unfuck this all , and , damn I MISS MY THINGS !

Meanwhile my friend is at his wits end with my things, me and my elderly terrorist cat .

Yet the thrill of the thing hunt , which you nail with that dopamine rush is powerful. Being fair housebound I am hypnotized by Marketplace . Yesterday I pulled a very sketch catfood deal via Marketplace and today am scheming to score a banged up old door with amazing wrought iron insets , with the intention to corral my jewels while in my gimpy exile. I hope you write more of your evolution of THINGS. I eagerly await the reports !
